ITSSLE LINK / SUPPORT

From the first connection.

A guide to connecting and using itssle Link. The app is currently being prepared for public release.

Updated: 2026-09-08

01

Get ready

Open itssle Link on both devices and make sure they can reach each other over the network. Your Mac must be awake. Final OS requirements and installation links will be announced with the public release.

02

Pairing and permissions

Use the new-device connection flow on your Mac and confirm the device you want to pair. Screen viewing needs Screen Recording permission; keyboard and pointer control need Accessibility permission. Check these in macOS System Settings, under Privacy & Security.

03

Shared folders

Select folders on your Mac and allow access for each device. If a folder is missing, check the selected Mac, that device’s sharing permissions and any external drive. Browsing shared files does not edit or delete Mac originals.

04

Display and input

Choose display fit, quality and a direct-touch, trackpad or view mode. If language switching is unexpected, check your Mac’s input sources and connected keyboard. Check that your Mac’s original display setup returns after ending a session.

05

Connection help

Check Mac power and app state, network access on both devices, pairing and permissions in that order. If you use Tailscale, first check that both devices can communicate over that route. The last update time on the status screen can also help.

06

Reporting a problem

Include your Mac and mobile device models, OS and app versions, connection type and the steps that led to the issue. Check that screenshots do not contain private files or information about other people.
